Welcome to WhatsApp Chat, a public Shopify app designed to help merchants engage their customers via a floating WhatsApp button directly on their storefront. We are committed to maintaining your trust by respecting your privacy, securing your data, and operating within Shopify’s guidelines.
By using this app, you agree to the terms outlined below.
2. Compliance with Shopify Policies
We strictly adhere to the required Shopify policies. This includes:
- Respecting Shopify’s embedded app standards using App Bridge.
- Using theme app extensions for all storefront modifications.
- Not engaging in any unauthorized services (e.g., unapproved payment gateways, scraping, brokering, or refunds). This app is Free for use.
3. Data Collection & Usage
This app does not store or transmit any personal customer data. We use Shopify’s OAuth process only to authenticate and install the app in your store.
We:
- Do not collect or store any merchant or customer personally identifiable information (PII).
- Do not request access scopes beyond what is required for app functionality (e.g.,
read_themes,write_themesfor injecting the WhatsApp button). - Rely exclusively on Shopify’s secure APIs and OAuth flow to authorize and render services.
4. App Installation & Uninstallation
- The app is installed via Shopify’s secure OAuth 2.0 flow.
- When uninstalled, all injected assets (via theme app extension) are automatically removed.
- We do not make any persistent or direct changes to store themes beyond the scope of the approved extension.
5. Security
- All communication between your store and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS (SSL).
