UpNest: Upsell & Trust Badges (“UpNest”, “the app”) is operated by Ecommerce Storez (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy describes what information the app processes when a merchant installs it on their Shopify store, how that information is used, and how it is protected.
- Information we collect
When you install UpNest, we store your shop domain and the access token issued to the app by Shopify. To provide the app’s features, we store the upsell offers you create (product references, titles, and discount settings) and, for revenue attribution, limited order data: the order ID, order number, the titles, quantities, and prices of line items added through UpNest offers, the order currency, and a count of your store’s monthly orders.
We do not collect, store, or process customer personal information. No customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, or shipping or billing addresses are read or stored by the app.
- How we use information
Order data is used solely to (a) attribute revenue generated by your upsell offers in your dashboard, and (b) count monthly store orders to apply your plan’s usage limits. Offer data is used to render your bundles on your storefront. We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties, and we do not use data for advertising.
- Data storage and security
Data is stored on servers we control. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access is restricted to what is required to operate the app.
- Data retention and deletion
When you uninstall UpNest, the app’s access token and shop settings are deleted immediately. Remaining shop data is deleted in accordance with Shopify’s mandatory data deletion webhooks: upon receiving a shop redaction request from Shopify, all data associated with the shop is permanently removed. You may also request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
- Cookies
The app’s merchant dashboard operates inside the Shopify admin and uses only the session mechanisms provided by Shopify. The storefront widgets do not set cookies and do not track customers across websites.
- GDPR and compliance webhooks
UpNest implements Shopify’s mandatory compliance webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact). Because the app stores no customer personal data, customer data requests and customer redaction requests require no action beyond acknowledgement. Shop redaction requests result in permanent removal of all stored shop data.

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
